My wife and I liked how close the hotel was to downtown Memphis and Graceland. Very easy to get to and not much traffic. We most likely will stay here again in the near future.
The obvious choice would have to be the comfort of the mattress.
Nothing I liked about it!
Everything - it is falling aprt, dirty, hard to get out, led to believe it was too difficult to get out at night, had to get new clean sheets cause bed was filthy. It almost made me fly home to australia. Trains went by blowing their horns all the time and the area is really unsafe.
This is really a pretty good value. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, the room came with a refrigerator and safe, free wifi, there was a swimming pool and it was only about $50 for the night.
I think the continental breakfast could be a little stronger. Some fresh fruit would have been nice and some kind of protein. Hard-boiled eggs for example or something like that.
Great value! Other motels closer to Bale St.- Way too expensive. This motel was 1/3 the price of others and adequately clean. Therefore, we had more spending money for fun.
Breakfast was a little skimpy. But we would still come back again.
by auto this wasn't an easy trip to Beale Street.
I loved how close it was to Beale St. The location was perfect. I loved how they offered to shuttle us to Beale St. So that we didn't have to drive. The hotel staff was awesome.
The only thing my husband and I didn't like it the room was full of flies which made it kind of uncomfortable to sleep and when we woke up in the middle of the night he stepped on a huge cocaroach.
I liked that we were by the Mississippi River and close to the expressways.
The room was not worth the money. The carpet was torn, there was extensive repairs that needed to be done or redone. The shower and tub was sinking toward the middle. The faucet in the shower was broke. There wasn't much of a selection of breakfast.
checking out and never returning!
everything, dirty old mouldy sheets with cigarete burns doors that are not secure!
Easy going staff ---very helpful staff- Very good transfer system to downtown and airport--and not expensive
Free wifi all over the hotel and in the hotel room. Pure but tasty breakfast.
Old hotel, far away from the city (need a cap).
Location is ok for visiting the city of Memphis and the price is perfect. The hotel shuttle service is great, but if you have your car with you, you can park downtown for 5 dollars per day.
It was all very old and needs maintainance. Dirty and old. The safe wasn't working, the door of our room did not lock incidentely. Bad shower.
Beautiful riverfront view, perfect for sunsets. There is a small park nearby and an interesting old Navy reserve hospital no longer in use next door. Staff was very friendly. There is a cheap shuttle service to Beale Street. They also offer a free breakfast with your stay. Breakfast is basically cereal, toast, bagel and coffee. Not much, but it's something free to eat. :) Easy to get to downtown Memphis from this hotel. Price was great!!
I've stayed in a few hotels and while this wasn't the most modern or best, I can't complain for the price I got. I didn't feel that the room or hotel was dirty or unsafe at all.
The only thing we liked was the price at the time of booking but felt cheated once we actually stayed at the hotel.
Accommodations were dirty, damages throughout the room, awful location where we felt very unsafe with our children and the hotel told me they had a free airport shuttle when I call from airport but once we checked in, quickly found out there would be a charge to take us back to the airport in the morning. Not much of a continental breakfast either.
Hotel offers a cheap shuttle into downtown.
Condition of the hotel is not 3-star...very rundown and poor quality in rooms
The staff was very curtious and nice.
We were disappointed from the moment we arrived in te parking lot to find the condition of the motel had been let go so much. First drive by we thought it was atually abandoned. The location is in an abandon warehouse district that was scary in itself. The room wasnt too bad, however the bathroom door did not close properly and the coffee maker was never ever cleaned out and was disgustingly bad. The beds were too bad and mailny clean. The outside of the building was ratty. Definitly in need of sprucing up. The pool was very dirty and we had the get the kids out of the pool at one point. There was all kinds of little debris and dead skin particals floating around not to mention 100's of dead bugs. I would not recommend anyone stay here to be honest. In fact I would recommend Super 8 either put some money into the hotel and fix it up or just close it because the way it is, gives the chain a bad name. Usually they have adequate hotels to stay at for a good price, This was way off the map however. Sorry but true.
